.   Major  Jerrell Wills of the King Co Sheriff’s Dept

With the King County Council cutting funds to "balance the budget" we'd like
to learn what the residents of Unincorporated King County can expect in the
way of response and/or protection from crimes/criminals  in our area…..how
to reach the Sheriff when needed and what incidents can they be expected to
respond to.    Major Wills will give an update on these issues.

As you may know, UAC's are fighting for the continuation of their current support from the County. We think we serve the Unincorporated Area residents of our "patch" quickly and effectively in their wide range of needs for services/information from the County and I do not believe our elimination is a wise "budget cut". To me, it's shortsighted of the County to no longer support the already organized and in-place working services of 200+ "on- site" volunteers working for access to the County government on issues that affect their communities.   Nancy Stafford
