                                     Transportation-Roads Division
Community Attendees:  Jan Hunt, Ann Archer

Bad weather night, snow and COLD.

Meeting began on time.  New attendee Ann Archer told us about being a reporter for Woodinville PATCH, a web-newspaper for local news.  She observed that few in our catchment area know about the UBCC, she might be able to help that!
Nancy gave an update on information regarding the proposed gas pipeline to be added to the Tolt River Trail.  That will be the subject of our March 22 meeting.
SB 5677 a Bill introduced to the state legislature would give UAC’s immunity from Public Disclosure requests and urged contacting your WA legislators to support this bill. First name.last name@wa. leg.gov
Music in the Park 2011 is in the grant writing stage and Nancy asked for suggestions of performers for the coming year.

Jay Osborne gave a short presentation of his credentials and description of a trend of the County to give more service to rural areas and less to urban areas (as targets of annexations). He listed traffic/roads concerns as compliance, safety, preservation, mobility and capacity in that order. Comp Plan 2012 wants to determine what rural character means, ie: fog lines on roads and/or suitable services such as street lights, horse trails and hike/bike trails. The comp plan will also deal with the issue of urban connectors - major roadways that connect urban centers like Duvall and Woodinville
Woodinville Duval Road has yet to be determined with a code designation for type of road. (I can't remember the types mentioned, urban connecter was one)
Many current Transportation decisions date back to the 1993 Growth Management Plan for the Bear Creek Basin. Copies of the 6 year projection of Road Services for our area were explained as well as the Transportation Needs Report of Projects within the Upper Bear Creek Unincorporated Area and an accompanying map of the area. There were questions throughout the evening and the meeting was one of quality if not attendance quantity!

Meeting adourned at 9PM.  Our thanks to Water District Utility Forman Kurtis Crilly for his opening and closing the meeting room for us.  Next public forum March 22, 2011.
