Marissa brought a framed photograph of Geoff Clayton and Ron Sims together at the October All UAC meeting and to be given to Geoff. (Delivered the following day)

Erroll Garnett introduced himself as newly appointed King County Code Enforcement Officer for Land Use Services Division and can be reached at 206 296 7102.

Bear Creek Form Based Code Project Area

Paul Reitenbach opened the meeting with comments on Cottage Lake being chosen for a test area for New Zoning Code; explaining that the code will be written with citizen input at a Feb 11 th meeting at the Woodinville Water District Offices, 6:00 PM. He also mentioned the February 9 th hearing for the 2009 Comprehensive Plan Update including Shoreline Master Plan at DDES in Renton – 4-6 PM. Harry Reinert is Program Manager, 206 296 7132.

Jason Lindahl then introduced the Form Based Code project having two demonstration projects, here and in East Renton Highlands. He gave handouts explaining the connection to Community Trade and Economic Development offices, noted the steps to be taken to develop the plan with citizen input for possible inclusion in the 2010 Comprehensive Plan update for implementation in demonstration areas (2009-2010)

The predominant Characteristics of a Form Based Code are:

A graph/drawing showing changes from Rural to Transect to Urban was included as well as a map of the Cottage Lake Test area.
