The Upper Bear Creek Community Council meets the second and fourth Tuesdays of most months.  The purpose of the council is to inform, assist and represent our community in dealing with King County government and other entities with respect to issues that affect our community.

·         Proposed Potential Climate Change Landowner Incentive Program

Matt Kuharic and Richard Gelb from King County Department of Natural Resources and Parks will provide an overview of a proposed King County incentive program for private landowners to take actions to maximize the climate change mitigation and adaptation potential of their lands.  Compensation to landowners could take the form of tax reductions (like PBRS) or direct payments; actions would be compensated on a sliding scale based on degree of action and size of parcel.

·     There will be an update on local efforts to have Avondale Road resurfaced.
