The Upper Bear Creek Community Council meets the second and fourth Tuesdays of most months. The purpose of the council is to inform, assist and represent our community in dealing with King County government and other entities with respect to issues that affect our community.

Bear, Evans, and Cottage Lake Creeks have levels of fecal coliform bacteria beyond what Washington State allows in our freshwaters. Come learn about recent studies and plans to improve bacteria pollution in the creeks. Share your ideas.

Most services are contracted to agencies specializing in direct service delivery through King County . The Dept. is comprised of the following programs: Aging Program, Alcohol & Substance Abuse Treatment Service, Developmental Disabilities Division, Community Organizing Program, Housing and Community Developmental Program, Mental Health, Office of Public Defender, Veteran’s Program, Woman’s Program, Work Training Program and Youth and Family Services Program.
