AGENDA:  Ground Water Workshop

Why should you care about groundwater?

In the Redmond-Bear Creek area, most drinking water comes from groundwater. Your actions can threaten the water you drink. If you use too much water or pollute the water, what will you drink instead?

Did you know…

·        More than half a million people in King County depend on groundwater for their drinking water.

·        Climate change is expected to reduce groundwater recharge in the Pacific Northwest, reducing the amount of drinking water available.

This hands-on workshop will teach you about the groundwater you drink. Find out where it comes from. Learn about the major threats to local groundwater quality and quantity. Find out what local governments are doing. And learn about specific actions you can take to protect and conserve your drinking water.

Thanks to Friends of Cottage Lake and Water Tenders.
